Vacation @ Korea (31.03.2011) - Day 1_Part 1

Good morning Korea. My first day full of activity in Korea starts on 31 Mar 2011. Korea is an hour early than Malaysia time.

We packed our luggage and checked out today. Well, my 4D3N in Korea are shifting hotel every day. We need to pack & unpack our luggage. I went for budgeted ground package arrangement. It's worth for me but not sure for any other people. ^_^

We have our breakfast inside the hotel. The foods are delicious & they have different ambiance in the same restaurant.

Wall decoration, ambiance & foods.

After breakfast, we hopped into our bus for our day tour. Our day tour was fully utilize for the whole day. Started in the morning & ends in the night at about 9p.m.

Our tour guide, Mr. Mark from Sabah, Malaysia (whom married to Korea) informed our itinerary for the day. He just informed us on where we will be going on the first day. Meanwhile, the remaining itinerary was announced individually on the 2nd & 3rd day.

Tour guide, our bus for 2 days, environment in the early silent morning.

1. KimChi School & wearing Korean Traditional custome "Han-Bok"
Our first activity in Korea. We tried to make our very first KimChi. According to the staff, KimChi made by us will be given to the old folks (charity purpose). Even though I am not sure how true it is but I hope the old one can feel my sincerity & caring when they ate the KimChi I made. Hahaha....

Thereafter, we tried to wear the traditional custome "Han-Bok". Kinda weird when I wore it & I look very plump. Then, we bought some souvenirs from the shop.

2. 2002 FIFA World Cup Museum
Then, we went to FIFA World Cup Museum. It is a big stadium & the field was maintained properly.

After visiting the FIFA World Cup Museum, we hopped into bus to the next destination.

Vacation @ Korea (30.03.2011: Noon to Night)

Hey everyone.

It is time for me to post my entries here. It's been awhile cos I was way tired after I came back from my trip, work, assignments, orders & etc.

Yup, I have been away to Seoul, Korea for 4D3N - a short trip. This is my 2nd overseas trip. I miss Korea so much right now. Nice weather, nice scenery, nice food.

I took Air Asia X to go to Korea. Safe drive & comfy place Air Asia provides to me. We reached Korea at 21:00.

Flying off with Air Asia X, arrival at Incheon Airport, My dinner - McD Bulgogi Burger set.

These dolls are made from flowers. They are for real & it is inside Incheon Airport.

After taking our dinner, the travel agent bring us to our hotel which located at Incheon. Our traveling group have 23 peoples from Malaysia. We reached our hotel at 23:20.

Hotel: Oceanside, Incheon.
Website: http://www.oceanside.co.kr/kr/index/

Facilities: They provided the skin care products for men & women. Big TV screen & computer with internet facilities.

Shower room with sauna & jacuzzi facilities.

After unloading our luggage into our room, we went out for a walk nearby hotel. Well, there is nothing for us to shop as it is late at night. Meanwhile, it is so cold at night too.

Oceanside Hotel provide the countryside ambiance to their guests. I personally like this hotel very much & it is a good hotel to stay in Korea.

Vacation @ Singapore - 19th July 2010 (3rd Day Trip)

This is my last day in SG. We checked out at 12 noon. Taking our luggage & hopped into bus towards Vivo City. Well, taking luggage together for shopping is troublesome.

Then, we shopped around in Vivo City & Harbour Front. Both buildings are connected to each other. We had our lunch & dinner at food courts as well. Well, on budgeted trip. Hehehe... We even saw the cruise which the entrance is just at Harbour Front building.

View of Vivo City @ night & day time, Sentosa Island & Star Cruise.

Around 6 p.m., we hopped into cab towards the KTM station at Tanjong Pagar. We took the night train & arrived at KL about 7 a.m. The journey from SG to KL is much faster.

So, what is the total expenses per person in this trip? It just cost you RM500/person. So, do you think it is really a budgeted trip?

View of my gifts & lovable items which I purchased at SG. Some are my brother stuffs. If you saw the last 2 pictures & the rack - these items I purchased at SG DAISO. They have lots of stuffs there.

Thank you for staying tune. ^_*

Vacation @ Singapore - 18th July 2010 (2nd Day Trip - Universal Studios Singapore / Resorts World Sentosa)

Photo editing is not easy & way busy with my assignment. Wish I can quickly finish my course soon but I know I will miss my study's fun. ^_^

2nd day of my Singapore trip - Universal Studios Singapore.
* To get more info. on Universal Studios Singapore, you may click here.

We started our 2nd day tour at 8.30 a.m. from our hotel. We took bus to Vivo City & fetch another bus towards Resorts World Sentosa. Once we reached Resorts World Sentosa, we quickly head towards to look for Universal Studios Singapore. Why? As we scared there is no tickets available & their tickets are limited.

When we reached at the ticket(s) booth, we are full of disappointment & sadness. We did not even booked online ticket but we pray that the booth open later. About after 9.30 a.m., the booth open & we are able to buy 3 tickets. Phew!! At least, we get our tickets. Hooray! Besides that, I get SGD15 voucher for foods & SGD15 voucher for souvenirs. As I know, these are the gifts for July month promotion.

Clockwise: Universal Studios Singapore, Tickets booth are opened from the side (notice the LED board is w/o words), the Universal big Globe, my entrance ticket to USS & Tickets booth are closed (notice the LED board is with words).

We hurry to get into Universal Studios Singapore & we are amazed.... Everything is different. We went to all of the attraction but some of the attraction was still under construction. Most of the attraction was roller coaster. So, I din get into any rides as I'm scare of it. (=_=)"

Here are some of the photos for you to view. I just posted some of the photos as I snapped a lot.

I love the tree which at Madagascar area. See the sun light goes true the branches? The branch crossed each other & I snapped out the love shape from there. Nice & magnificent right? Love is in the Air....

Well, other than roller coaster, what else they have? We enjoyed the Shrek 4D theater, Water world show, Donkey Live show, Monster Rock, Lights Camera Actions, etc. Too much for me to state here. If you have not visited USS, you should go there to have great fun with friends or family.

My lunch @ Far Far Away Kingdom. I used the foods voucher here.

View of animation scene in SHREK movie @ Far Far Away Kingdom.

View of The Lost World - Jurassic Park.

After Universal Studios Singapore, we went to Merlion Park & towards Siloso beach. We snapped some photo & sat tram for side seeing at Siloso beach area. Well, we did not get down from the tram as we just want to sit & have a look what they have. Nice beaches.... ^_^

View of Merlion Park, Outside of USS, Walkway towards Siloso Beach.

Then, we walked back to Casino. The environment at the casino was totally different from MY environment.

P/s: I am not an addicted gambler / gambler but just want to have different feeling of each casino I went to.

Thereafter, we get into the bus from Casino to Vivo City. We had our dinner at Vivo City, food courts. After dinner, we just walked awhile at Vivo City. Guess what? I bought something from there too. ^_^

Lastly, we went back to our hotel. Tiring day after walking here and there. Yet we are happy as THIS DATE was a FRUITFUL DAY~!!

Stay tuned on my last post before I get back to K.L.

Vacation @ Singapore - 17th July 2010 (1st Day Trip - Part 3)

Live Life to the Fullest!

Yeah...! That is one of my life MOTTO!
Life is short, isn't? So, enjoy everything I can see, touch, feel & etc.

Where is my next stop? We went to Parliament House. We did went into the info. centre (beside the Parliament House) to know more about SG Parliament. Admission is FREE. Then right opposite of Parliament is Supreme Court. Then, surrounding was National Art Gallery, Singapore Cricket Club and Victoria Theatre & Concert Hall.

Thereafter, we walked to The Fullerton & Merlion Park.

Above view is from The Fullerton area. You can see the SkyPark, Marina Bay Sands & SG Flyer from far.

We reached One Fullerton & if you cross the road, you reached Merlion Park. You can snap lots of photo here.

After photo snapping, we walked back towards Boat Quay & Clarke Quay. Gosh.... So many food stalls... Yummy yummy!! We had our tea time at Central, Clarke Quay.

After makan-makan, we walk around in Central. Oh, right in front of Central, there is flea market... I saw nice handmade jewelries too...

Then, we took bus to Bugis. We did survey for MRT. However, I din get any chance to sit MRT as it is more expensive than bus fare.

Once we reached Bugis, we went to Bugis Junction & Bugis Street. Both place are just opposite each other.

Bugis Street has a lot of stuffs to buy. There is a lot of nice & affordable price clothing there. I bought my souvenirs from here too... & I missed my Avocado fresh drink... It is marvelous. Besides that, I did bought the Hakka "Lud-chi" (I dunno it to write in pinyin). Nice!

Note: There is a Tourist Information Centre just right beside Bugis street. You can obtained SG map here.

After walking around, we took bus back to our hotel. We walked quite far towards our hotel as we stopped at the wrong stop. Yet, we experienced how is the crowd along Aljunied area.

We took a rest once we reached hotel. I called my friend & we went out again to meet up at City Square Mall. Thanks to my friend for treating a nice Thai foods. It is so yummy & delicious.

After chit-chatting, we went back separately. Of course, waiting to take a cab is not easy at night too...as there is many people waiting for cab. We walked around Little India at night time. Wow!! There were many people & I see they bought a lot of stuffs.... Hmm..... what my friend told me earlier before going to Little India is TRUE. (Some little secret between my family & my friend now about this). ^_^

We reached hotel at about 11 sumthing. It is almost midnight. Hehe...

Interesting tour right? Walking around & tiring ourselves.

Stay tuned for my next post. 2nd day - was a bit of frustration but it turns out very fruitful. ^_^

Guess where I will be going? Heheh.... Stay tuned!

I bought a big magnifying glass stand from one of the shop there. Hmmm... did I bought any beads? The answer - NO as I think it is almost the same price I can get in K.L. ^_^

Fifth stop - We stopped at The Riverwalk. Enjoying sitting there after walking around. Elgin Bridge is just right in front of us & took few photos.

Next walking destination? Well, if you ask me, I had no purpose of where to walk... Just walking around. Hehehe... Follow on my next post for my SG trip.

Vacation @ Singapore - 17th July 2010 (1st Day Trip - Part 1)

Once we arrived at Tanjong Pagar, we took cab service which was available right in front of the KTM Singapore station. The cab we took was a van instead. The van was quite comfy & the driver was very friendly. Uncle came along with his wife in the car.

Uncle was original from Penang but he came to Singapore at his early age. He shared his experience in Malaysia and Singapore. It is awesomely different. He also shows us where to get the bus & where to drop at as well as introducing the places we passed by since we first came to Singapore.

Okay, where do I booked the hotel? None of my friends & colleagues believe that I booked hotel at Geylang. (No need I explained much of this place.. Quite interesting at night time.. Hahaha!!)This is the cheapest rate I can get from the internet. Of course, dormitory type is much cheaper. However, my family preferred hotel services.

Hotel: Hotel 81 - Star
Location: Lor 18, Geylang

We arrived at the hotel at 9.30 a.m. The reception was very good as they allowed to checked in at 11 a.m. As such, we placed our luggage at their hotel & went for breakfast.

Geylang area: The surroundings.

The foods was so delicious & the most cheapest in town during my SG trip. (Okay, my friend told me that Geylang area have nice & cheapest foods)

Well, we get back to our hotel at 10:30 a.m. Guess what?? They allowed us to get our room earlier. Man!! This was great!! In addition, I made few local SG calls... & by end of the check out date, I need not to pay & they waived the calling charges!! Bravo!!

After resting in our room, we start our walking tours. The hotel I booked was very near to bus stop. It is so convenient & I really like SG's public transportation system.

So convenient. So informative.

Since I do not know where to stop for the places I wish to visit, I asked the passenger. They are so friendly and helpful to let me know where to stop. Phew!!

Follow on my next post on where I stopped on my first day trip.

Vacation @ Singapore - 16th July 2010 (Night) til 17th July 2010 (Morning)

Thank you for stay tune with me. Sorry for the late update as I was busy with my assignment...Please bare with me ya!

This year I have my first oversea trip (boohooo...... Well, is true cos I am not as fortunate compared to others) to Singapore.

In this section, I will share my interesting walking tours in Singapore & my experience in this trip. Well, of course, planning the trip is not easy. If you plan not to have any headache planning the trip, you might opt to follow tours.

How to get to Singapore? There are many ways: Airplane, Car, Buses & Trains (KTM).

I went to Singapore using KTM. You might be thinking why do I choose this option cos airplane & buses are faster. There are reason behind why I choose to take KTM instead.

First: Always heard many accidents / robbery to the South.
Second: I had never tried sit train to other city. (This exclude Putra LRT & ERL)

Fare / Route:
The fare you can obtain from KTM website.

My trip: Sitting place @ RM34/person
Train chosen: Night train
Route: KL Sentral, KL to Tanjong Pagar, SG.
Time consumed: approx. 10 hours.
Where to purchase: KTM Intercity booth, KL Sentral, K.L.
Personal advice:
1. KTM Intercity is different than KTM Komuter. KTM Intercity is located opposite the hotel & near the taxi coupon booth.
2. Do remember to purchase return ticket. If you purchase in SG, it will costs you SGD34/person. Same value but change in currency only.

The trip starts from KL, Sentral. Sitting train was a great experience for me. You can listen to the railway track all the way to Singapore. KTM staff pushed their foods trolley to sell foods & drinks. Of course, I get to sleep in the train but sometimes you need to get up as you do not want to miss the stop right?

We reached Woodlands checkpoint for custom checking.

Checkpoint: Woodlands
Document required: White card (available at custom) & passport
What to bring down? Your luggage.

Thereafter, we hopped into the train again to reach Tanjong Pagar. You may exit at Woodlands as well too.

Story to continue at the following posting. Stay tuned.
